Kolo treats heritage as foundation for compatibility. In a market dominated by superficial swiping, we match people who understand each other without translation. Rooted in values, shared beliefs, and cultural humility.

The Ask

Mainstream dating apps treat Slavic heritage as an afterthought. Many don’t even list the full range of Eastern European countries when users fill out ethnic background. 22 million Americans of Eastern European descent need an app that celebrated them, not one that reduced their identity to a dropdown.

The Solution

We built Kolo on three core truths: Heritage, Humility, and Honor. We produced the entire application from brand principles down to UX/UI details, ensuring every touchpoint reinforced cultural authenticity. We repositioned dating from transactional matching to cultural belonging. Launched and active in NYC, LA, Chicago, and Toronto.
